My 16-year career as a deputy public defender was spent focused on cultivating the skills that I believe matter in jury trials: connecting with jurors, storytelling, and relentless cross-examination. I have tried 81 trials (60 jury and 21 bench), over 260 felony preliminary hearings, and countless hearings regarding parole and probation violations.

I earned the position of senior deputy public defender and assigned to the felony trial unit handling some of the most serious and violent cases. Later in my career, I assisted the office in teaching trial skills to new attorneys.

Recently, I joined a civil law firm as a litigation attorney pursuing habitability and personal injury claims on behalf of tenants. I took and defended depositions, attended mediations, and negotiated settlements.

Now, I start my firm with a trial-centered focus in plaintiffs' matters involving tenant rights and personal injury where quality of representation will always outweigh quantity of cases.

In my personal life, I am a devoted husband and father of two daughters. I am a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu where I was once a competitor and instructor. I am a decent mountain biker, avid meditator, and frequent traveler.
