Attorney June Woo Chung enjoyed a 16-year career as an Orange County Deputy Public Defender performing 60 jury trials, over a dozen juvenile court trials, and hundreds of hearings ranging from felony preliminary hearings to probation and parole violations.

He earned the position of Senior Deputy Public Defender and assigned to the felony panel for the last 5 years of his career. In that assignment he handled and tried serious felonies including murder, sex-offenses, and other violent felonies. He also assisted the office train newly hired attorneys in trial advocacy.

While with the Public Defenders Office, he was responsible for the county's homeless outreach court for two years where he helped hundreds of clients from the unhoused population obtain services and navigate their way out of the criminal justice system for minor infractions.

Later, he joined a civil law firm as a litigation attorney where he prosecuted habitability and related personal injury claims on behalf of tenants.

He left that law firm to start his own legal practice where he could better utilize his trial and oral advocacy skills. In addition to handling his own matters, he works collaboratively with various personal injury and habitability law firms as co-counsel for jury trials and depositions.

He currently serves as a grade 4 attorney on the Los Angeles County Independent Defense Counsel representing the criminally accused in the most serious and violent felonies.

Outside of his legal practice, he is a devoted husband and father to his two daughters. He is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu being once an active competitor and instructor. Currently, he enjoys traveling with his family, road cycling, mountain biking, meditating, and consuming books on stoicism and philosophy.
